Education plays a key role in reducing poverty and improving economic growth. With this in mind, the Australia Awards were developed to support future generations of global leaders to drive future development in their country. The prestigious scholarships seek to promote knowledge, education links and lasting ties between Australia and the global community.

Coffey is the lead implementing partner for the Australian Government's Australia Awards and scholarships programs, responsible for ten Australia Awards programs in Cambodia, Indonesia, Fiji, Laos, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Vietnam. Coffey was also responsible for implementing the Australia Awards program in Mongolia, and the multi-country Australia Awards South Asia comprising awards programs in Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Maldives.

Our Awards teams have developed innovation solutions to build the human resource capacity with our partner countries, from integrating short course training to enable public and private sector capacity building, delivery of alumni programs to strengthen people to people links between Australia Awards alumni, individuals and industry. We've facilitated split-site Master's programs and longitudinal tracking of the application of skills to enterprise by Award recipients. We work with Australian universities and training providers to deliver diverse programs that help improve the skills and education of the countries where we work, including supporting women's development through our Women's Leadership Program.
